Today's picks: Why Twins will beat Cubs, plus more MLB, U.S. Open, NFL futures, college football and MMA picks for Tuesday

The Coach informs us of a special upcoming Fantasy Football show, and introduces us to the new college football episodes to catch. Matthew looks ahead to how Carson Wentz's issues could affect the Colts in the season opener. Larry talks about how weather concerns may be impacting Tulane and the Saints. 

Ian Parker swoops in to deliver the SportsLine Plays of the Day in Dana White's Contender Series. He is taking Diego Lopes -125 over Joanderson Brito and A.J. Fletcher -150 over Leonardo Damiani. Lopes' grappling and submission game should give him the edge, and Fletcher has won seven of eight fights by stoppage, 

Mike has his eye on a U.S. Open parlay, going with Lorenzo Sonego, Karen Khachanov and Sebastian Korda at +165. In MLB picks, he is going with the Phillies and Nationals Over five runs in the first five innings at 7:05 p.m. ET. Mike is looking for a strong hitting environment weather-wise, and both teams handle lefties well. 

Zack drops two NFL futures props, including Jonathan Taylor to lead the NFL in rushing at 12-1. Taylor started slowly last year but was dominant down the stretch. He is taking Terry McLaurin to be the receiving yards leader at 30-1. This should be his best year yet while working with Ryan Fitzpatrick. 

Matt Severance's featured MLB play is the Twins -145 over the Cubs at 8:10 p.m. ET. "Most National League offenses get better by adding a DH, but the Cubs will get worse, that's how bad they are," he says, and then injects a mention of his colleague into the mix for further analysis. "Chicago pitcher Zach Davies is pitching more like Zack Cimini right now. Minnesota actually has a winning record this month, the first winning month of the year." In college football, Matt is taking Minnesota +14.5 over Ohio State on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET. The Golden Gophers are returning 20 starters, among the most in the nation. 

Larry will ride with the Orioles to go Over three runs when they face the Blue Jays at 7:07 p.m. ET. Hyun-Jin Ryu has not been good this month and Baltimore does hit lefties well.
