Today's picks: Why the Giants will beat the Dodgers, plus more MLB, NASCAR, MLS, PGA and college baseball for Sunday, June 12

Jonathan Coachman is joined by expert sports bettors Mike McClure, John Bollman and Micah Roberts on The Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for Major League Baseball, NASCAR, PGA, MLS and colllege baseball for Sunday, June 12.

Coach starts things off with the SportsLine Play of the Day, via Brandt Sutton: Both teams to score (-140) in the MLS match between Sporting Kansas City and the New England Revolution (3 p.m. ET). 

McClure is up next with a play in Major League Baseball. He likes Baltimore Over 4.5 (-105) in the finale of the Orioles-Royals four-game series (2:10 p.m. ET). "(Kansas City's Brad) Keller has not been sharp. He's managed to make it to the sixth inning a few times, but three-plus earned runs in each of the last six starts, never more than four strikeouts," Mike says. "We know what the Royals' bullpen is capable of. Home plate umpire Dan Iassogna, massive Over ump dating back to 2018. We have a 250-game sample size of the Over hitting at 57 percent."

Bollman follows two plays, with the first coming in MLB. He likes the Giants (+115) to defeat the Dodgers and complete the three-game sweep (4:05 p.m. ET). "The Dodgers have now lost five of their last seven games and eight of their last 12," he says. "The Giants have won each of the first two games of this series, and it was against the Dodgers' aces. They shouldn't have a problem against the struggling Julio Urias. However, it's the Dodgers' bullpen lately that's really worried me. … The Giants' bullpen, on the other hand, seems to be pitching very well this series, and they have the momentum."

John's second play is in college baseball. He's on East Carolina (+130) to beat Texas (4 p.m. ET). "ECU has now made 32 regionals and seven super regionals, yet they've never made it to the College World Series. I think that changes today," he says. "Texas really doesn't have much pitching depth, while ECU can just keep throwing different arms at you. Texas has also looked a bit rattled playing at the friendly confines of the Jungle at ECU."

Coach jumps back in with two plays of his own. The first is the PGA: Alex Smalley (-118) over Wyndham Clark in the final round of the RBC Canadian Open (12:40 p.m. ET). "Wyndham Clark was your first-round leader at 7-under par," he says. "The last two days, he's managed to get to 9-under. He's not hitting the ball very well."

His second play is in MLB. He likes the Yankees (-1.5 at -120) to cover against the Cubs in the finale of their three-game set (1:35 p.m. ET). "The Yankees are 9-1 in their last 10 games. On the run line in those same 10 games, 7-3," he says. "They're facing a pitcher that the last three games on the road has allowed 11 runs. I love the Yankees to roll once again today."

Roberts wraps things up with two NASCAR plays. He likes Kyle Busch (+105) over Kyle Larson in the Toyota/Save Mart 350 (4 p.m. ET). "He's won the pole five straight times at Sonoma, he won (the race) last year," he says. "But we've got new tires, we've got a new car. For whatever reason, Larson - who won 10 races last year - is kind of in a slowdown now. Kyle Busch, he's a two-time winner at Sonoma. He was the fastest in 10 consecutive lap average. It showed me he had speed from Lap 1 to Lap 10 almost equally the same, better than everybody else."

Micah's second play in the race is Christopher Bell (+130) over Daniel Suarez. "Bell did not practice well, did not qualify well, but they have had a chance to work on their car," he says. "They're going to be really good. They've been really good the last two seasons on road courses. … He won his only Cup race last season on the Daytona Road Course and he was also top five at Road America."
