Today's picks: Why the Cardinals will beat the Reds, plus more MLB, NBA and soccer for Sunday, April 24

The SportsLine crew shares its expert bets for Sunday, April 24, on The Early Edge podcast

Jonathan Coachman is joined by expert sports bettors Mike McClure, Alex Selesnick and Allan Bell on The Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for the MLB, NBA and soccer for Sunday, April 24.

Coach starts things off with three SportsLine Plays of the Day. The first is the Bucks (-4.5) to cover against the Bulls in Game 4 of their NBA first-round series (1 p.m. ET). "They don't have Khris Middleton, but it doesn't matter," he says. "They're so much better than Chicago."

The second play also is in the NBA: The Suns (-140) to beat the Pelicans in Game 4 of their series (9:30 p.m. ET). "They don't have Devin Booker. We know that," Coach says. "However, the Suns are 71 percent straight up against the Pelicans this season. I believe they'll figure out how to play much better without Booker."

The third and final play is in soccer: Over 1.5 goals for AC Milan (+125) in its Serie A match against Lazio (2:45 p.m. ET).

McClure is up next with an NBA parlay. He likes the Warriors (+5.5) to cover against the Nuggets in Game 4 of their first-round series (3:30 p.m. ET) paired with the Bucks to beat the Bulls at -108. "I think that it's possible that the Nuggets could steal a game, but the scenario that they do it, I think it's going to be really, really, really competitive if they do," Mike says. "So I like getting close to two full possessions the other way with Golden State. … Pair it with the Milwaukee Bucks, who I expect to roll again."

Coach jumps back in with an NBA play. He likes the Warriors (-175) to complete the sweep and beat the Nuggets. "There is no scenario in my mind that the Denver Nuggets want to play one more day this season," he says. "They're done, they're toast, they're finished. So I'm going to lay on the money line."

Bell follows with a play in Major League Baseball. He also likes a sweep as he's on the Cardinals (-145) to beat the Reds in the finale of their three-game set (1:40 p.m. ET). "The Reds are losing their fan base by the minute. They've lost 11 straight, they're a disaster, they're not scoring runs at all," Allan says. "(The Cardinals have) got Adam Wainwright on the mound today. They're already 2-0 against Cincinnati this year."

Selesnick wraps things up with a prop bet in MLB. He likes Under 4.5 strikeouts for Arizona's Madison Bumgarner (-130) in the Diamondbacks-Mets game (4:10 p.m. ET). "He has failed to eclipse this line in two of three starts this season, four of his last six overall," Alex says. "He hasn't really had a long leash either, didn't really have the best spring. Doesn't look fully stretched out to me, hasn't exceeded 83 pitches in a start. The Mets have been tough to strike out - third-lowest strikeout rate overall, ninth-lowest rate versus opposing lefties."
