Jonathan Coachman welcomes top sports betting experts Allie ONeal, Zack Cimini, Matt Severance and Larry Hartstein on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. Get the prime plays for Major League Baseball, college football Week 1 and World Cup soccer qualifiers for Wednesday, September 1.

The Coach reminds us of new golf episodes, a can't-miss fantasy football special later today and upcoming NFL preview specials. Matt considers the win total for Kansas (set at just 1.5) and examines the team's outlook. Larry tips us off to a new SportsLine handicapper to follow.

The Coach highlights a trio of World Cup qualifiers as the SportsLine Plays of the Day, including the Netherlands -120 over Norway at 2:45 p.m. ET. He also shares the picks of Russia and Croatia both to score at 2:45 p.m. ET at -110, and Denmark to win and score two-plus goals at -125 vs. Scotland at 2:45 p.m. ET.

Zack is on the Red Sox -115 over Rays at 7:10 p.m. ET. "I know Tampa Bay has won nine straight. They've dominated against the Red Sox," he says. "But Chris Sale is on the mound. He's only had three starts since returning, but he's getting very strong run support. I'm going to jump in here, I love the price."

Matt's MLB pick is the Giants -145 over the Brewers at 9:45 p.m. ET. San Francisco has faced some stellar pitching to start the series, but now gets a much better matchup. In college football, he is taking Miami +19 over Alabama on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET. Matt knows how dominant Alabama has been in openers, but cites the strength of Miami's returnees. He does not expect an upset but goes with the Hurricanes, stoking a rivalry with Allie, who points out the Alabama defense as an advantage. The two engage in Allie's first-ever SportsLine Showdown.

Larry is taking the Diamondbacks to go Over three runs vs. the Padres at 3:40 p.m. ET. San Diego's Yu Darvish has not looked good in his last nine turns and Arizona has faced him four times already this season.
