Today's picks: Why Ohio State will cover against Maryland, plus more college basketball, NASCAR, PGA and soccer for Sunday, Feb. 27

Jonathan Coachman is joined by expert sports bettors Mike McClure, Allan Bell and Larry Hartstein on The Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for the college basketball, NASCAR, PGA and soccer for Sunday, Feb. 27.

Coach starts things off with two SportsLine Plays of the Day, both of which are in soccer. The first, from international soccer expert Martin Green, is Both teams to score in the Chelsa-Liverpool EFL Cup match (11:30 a.m. ET). The second is Both teams to score in the Roma-Spezia Seria A match (12:05 p.m. ET on Paramount+).

McClure is up next with a pair of plays. The first is in NASCAR: He likes Denny Hamlin (+100) against Chase Elliott in the Wise Power 400 (3:30 p.m. ET). "I love this spot for Denny Hamlin," he says. "I think that he's going to quickly adjust to the new car, a little bit quicker than someone like Chase Elliott. It's evident in Elliott's practice times - middle to lower path of the pack."

Mike's next play is in the PGA: Matthias Schwab (-115) against Brian Stuard in The Honda Classic (12:35 p.m. ET). "These players have played relatively the same so far this weekend," he says. "However, Schwab has definitely had those rounds where he has one hole that has really kept him from a nice minus-4, minus-5 round. I like Matthias Schwab in this, though."

Bell follows with a pair of college basketball bets. To begin, he likes Ohio State (-4) to cover against Maryland (4 p.m. ET). "The Buckeyes are shooting nearly 50 percent from the field in their past five games," he says. "They're playing really well. They're 71 percent against the spread this month, including a cover over Maryland. And Maryland, a mere 37 percent against the spread at home this season."

Allan also likes Over 137 in the Tulane-Temple game (3 p.m. ET). "They played two weeks ago and scored over 170 points," he says. "These two teams just happen to shoot very well against each other. Tulane has hit five straight Overs, Temple has hit the Over in three of its last four."

Hartstein wraps things up with a college hoops play: Memphis (-8.5) to cover against Wichita State (2:30 p.m. ET). "(The Tigers) have won seven of eight. Their only loss was at the end of a road trip at SMU, where everyone loses," Larry says. "Wichita State has not won a conference road game, they have not won a road game since December. The last four games at home, (the Tigers) have won by double digits."
