Today's picks: Why A's will beat Mariners, plus more MLB and tennis picks for Thursday, July 22

The Coach tells us when and where to catch the next MMA episode. Larry then points us to a can't-miss feature on SportsLine that previews the 2021 NBA Draft. Find out what the Rockets may do with the No. 2 overall pick. 

The SportsLine Play of the Day is the Cardinals -121 over the Cubs at 7:15 p.m. ET, with the Cardinals coming off a dramatic win.

Mike has a prime pair of tennis plays, taking Dusan Lajovic over Bernabe Zapata Miralles in straight sets at +150 at the Croatian Open at 1 p.m. ET. Miralles is coming off a good win in the first round, but he is no match for Lajovic, a master on clay. At the ATP Los Cabos Open, Mike is going with Taylor Fritz and Steve Johnson Over 2.5 sets at +160 at 8:20 p.m. ET. He has concerns about Fritz playing on a hard surface and Johnson is also struggling. 

Justin has a pair of MLB plays, as he is recommending the Angels and Twins Over 9.5 runs at 8:10 p.m. ET. The Twins get a matchup against Andrew Heaney and the Angels will be able to get to the Minnesota bullpen to drive the total up. He also strongly recommends the A's -140 over the Mariners at 10:10 p.m. ET. "I am going to back Sean Manaea, who has been great against the Mariners. He had a complete game shutout last time he pitched against them," he says. "Chris Flexen is going for the Mariners, but he has had some easy competition in his last couple of starts at home. Today it is going to be a little bit different." 

Larry is all in on the Tigers -135 over the Rangers at 1:10 p.m. ET. Texas has been very bad on the road, and Mike Foltynewicz has been downright terrible in away games.
