Mike shines a spotlight on the Cavaliers and tells us why they have been so successful as underdogs so far this season, Zack is intrigued by the East Carolina-Old Dominion matchup and also examines the outlooks for some unranked, undefeated teams.
The Coach delivers the SportsLine Play of the Day, backing Atalanta -1.5 over Venezia at 12:30 p.m. ET in Serie A action.
Allie's featured NHL play is the Capitals and Panthers Over six goals at 7 p.m. ET. The Capitals have gone over four goals in their last four games. The Panthers are averaging four goals per game at home and the recent matchups between Washington and Florida further support the selection.
Mike has a pair of NBA prop plays from Grizzlies-Raptors at 7 p.m. ET, leading with Fred VanVleet Over 18.5 points. "OG Anunoby is going to be out yet again. Gary Trent Jr. is listed as questionable. VanVleet scored 27 in his last game, against the Celtics. They have the fifth-best defensive rating in the league. The same can't be said for the Grizzlies, who have the worst defensive rating in the league." Mike is also taking Dillon Brooks Over 19.5 points, as he expects Brooks to launch many shots while Ja Morant is out.
Larry's NFL pick is the Cowboys -4 over the Saints on Thursday at 8:20 p.m. ET. Dan Quinn should step in and do an effective job of operating as the head coach, and New Orleans just does not have the weaponry needed to expose the Cowboys defense.
Zack goes back to the NBA with his selection of the Suns -2.5 over the Warriors at 10 p.m. ET. In this marquee showdown, he leans to Phoenix, because you just cannot get in the way of a winning streak like the Suns are on. In college basketball, he recommends Tennessee Tech +5.5 in a rematch with Chattanooga at 7 p.m. ET.
