Before making any St. Bonaventure vs. Boise State picks, you NEED to check out the college basketball predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.
The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every Division I college basketball game 10,000 times. Over the past five-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated an impressive profit of almost $2,100 for $100 players on its top-rated college basketball picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.
The model knows the Bonnies have three players averaging in double figures, including senior guard Kyle Lofton. Lofton, who is on the Wooden Award Top 50 Watch List for the nation's top player, is averaging 17 points, 5.5 rebounds, five assists and 1.5 steals per game. He is a solid free throw shooter, connecting on 84.6 percent of his foul shots. Lofton is also on the Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award List and was named the Blue Ribbon Yearbook Preseason A-10 Player of the Year.
The model also knows the Broncos have played solid defense to open the season and have held their first two opponents to fewer than 60 points. It is the first time since 2011-12 that they have done that. Redshirt senior guard Marcus Shaver Jr., who missed the season opener with a hand injury, was in the starting lineup at UC Irvine on Saturday and finished with 14 points, two rebounds and two steals. Last season, he appeared in 25 games, including 21 starts, averaging 10.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He began his collegiate career at Portland.
