This looks like one of the tougher slates of the season for finding five best bets. Four games (including Thursday) sit on the key number of 3, making them tough to play and risking a push. However, one makes it into my best bets as I would still make it a top-five play if it were adjusted a half-point against me.
Another complication is two games having the potential -- but not certainty -- to return key starting QBs who should move the line significantly. One is Bengals-Ravens, with Lamar Jackson questionable to play but taking first-team reps on Friday. The market has hammered the Bengals all week, moving them to favorites on the money line across the market, yet the Circa Million line makes the Ravens 1.5-point favorites. I have this game in my top five as well.
Elsewhere in my top five is my top pick -- and probably the only one I feel strongly about, considering the two situations above -- as well as one pick I like but am worried could be a popular play.
