This is always a fun exercise leading up to each football season -- putting together longshot bets that could happen to the point where we feel there's value on their long odds. These types of bets should not be central to your NFL futures betting strategy, but it's always fun to tack one on and have a sweat on a big payday.
Two years ago, that was Sam Darnold as an MVP candidate, which I bet at +20000 before he led the Vikings to within a game of the No. 1 seed and actually landed a few votes. Eight years ago, we tapped Patrick Mahomes to win MVP at +5500 in his first year starting in Andy Reid's system and he ran away with the award.
I'll share my favorite longshot MVP and Super Bowl bets below along with three other longshots I think are worth considering. All are +5000 or longer, and one checks in at +15000, though I believe it deserves much shorter odds.
