NBA DFS: LaMelo Ball matchup vs. Lakers among top DraftKings plays for Monday

Basketball is still rolling in the new year, and Monday's 12-game main slate will follow up the three-game selection from Sunday. Ameer Tyree got his start in NBA DFS more than four years ago. The former DraftKings Nation betting and fantasy writer spent over a year and a half breaking down basketball slates to build optimal lineups there. Now he's locked in on six plays at different price points for Monday.

One play Ameer loves: LaMelo Ball at $10,000. "Ball always gets up for his hometown teams and will face them in Charlotte for the first time this season after amassing 23 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists against them in December. The Hornets point guard boasts career averages of 23.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 7.0 assists against the Lakers through four games," Ameer says about the matchup.
