There wasn't much NBA action on Thursday, as just two games took place in the main slate. However, Friday's main slate will feature 12 games, and the first tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET. One value option Ameer loves: Tyrese Maxey. "This pick is fairly self-explanatory. James Harden is out for a month with a foot injury, and Joel Embiid is questionable with an illness. Maxey's sure to take on a lot more on-ball responsibility and has averaged 34.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game without Embiid in the lineup this season."
