NBA DFS Helper: Pair of Grizzlies highlight Friday's trio of top DraftKings plays
NBA DFS analyst Ameer Tyree splits his favorite Friday DraftKings plays into three tiers
MVP frontrunners dominated yet another NBA main slate on Thursday. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid took their usual places toward the top of the fantasy basketball leaderboard in the five-game slate, but there will be a lot more action on Friday. Ten games will make up Friday's slate, and one game in particular stands out because of an abundance of injuries. Need help deciding on what matchups you should target? We've split three ideal plays into tiers ahead of lock.
Ameer Tyree got his start in NBA DFS over four years ago. The former DraftKings Nation betting and fantasy writer spent over a year and a half breaking down basketball slates to build optimal lineups there. Now he's turned his attention to Friday's 10-game slate.
One play Ameer loves: De'Anthony Melton. "Melton toes the line between being a mid-tier and value play in this slate. The reserve guard seems likely to step into the starting lineup with Tyus Jones and Desmond Bane listed as doubtful ahead of Friday's game against the Suns. Melton's averaged nearly 20 points and 5.0 rebounds since Ja Morant's latest knee injury six games ago, and Memphis doesn't have a reliable ball handler to roll out behind him." Ameer says about the matchup.
