NBA DFS Helper: Josh Giddey stands out among top DraftKings plays for Monday

Monday's eight-game NBA slate will end a little earlier than usual, as all the matchups on tap are scheduled to tip-off between 7 and 8 p.m. ET. While Week 16's first slate won't last all night, there won't be a shortage of big-time fantasy performances. We've identified three options NBA DFS players should consider rostering and split them into three tiers ahead of lock.

Ameer Tyree got his start in NBA DFS over four years ago. The former DraftKings Nation betting and fantasy writer spent over a year and a half breaking down basketball slates to build optimal lineups there. Two of his favorite three plays from Friday returned at least 5X value, and all three tallied more than 36 fantasy points on DraftKings. Now he's turned his attention to Monday's eight-game slate.

One play Ameer loves: LaMelo Ball. "The last time I targeted the Lakers with a dynamic point guard James Harden erupted for 33 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. Ball is fresh off a triple-double performance and could put together a similar performance against Los Angeles's weak defensive backcourt. The second-year floor general boasts career averages of 25.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 9.0 assists against the Lakers." Ameer says about the matchup.
