NBA DFS Helper: Anfernee Simons among best mid-tier DraftKings play for Friday

Thursday's four-game slate was light but action-packed. Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and others lit it up as fantasy studs. There will be a lot more options in Friday's 11-game slate, and we've identified a few choices worth considering ahead of the first tip-off at 7 p.m. ET. Ameer Tyree got his start in NBA DFS over four years ago. The former DraftKings Nation betting and fantasy writer spent over a year and a half breaking down basketball slates to build optimal lineups there. Tyree highlighted Ivica Zubac as his favorite Thursday DFS play on CBS Sport, and the Los Angeles Clippers big man returned more than 5X value at $6,500 by scoring 12 points and grabbing 18 rebounds. Now Ameer has his eyes on three players in Friday's main slate.

One mid-tier option Ameer loves: Anfernee Simons. "Simons is on the pricier side for a mid-tier option, but he'll be worth his price tag against the league's worst fantasy point guard defense. Kevin Porter Jr. and Jalen Green are still figuring things out, and that bodes well for Simons, who'll serve as the Portland Trail Blazers' lead guard while Damian Lillard is out with an ankle injury." Ameer says about the matchup.
