Navy vs. Army college football line, odds: Midshipmen expert reveals pick for 2022 showdown

Adam Silverstein, who is 6-0-1 with his last seven picks involving Navy, has released his selection for Saturday's annual game between the Midshipmen and Black Knights

The Navy Midshipmen (4-7) attempt to continue their recent dominance in the all-time series when they take on the Army Black Knights (5-6) in the 123rd installment of the Army-Navy Game. Navy has won 18 of its last 23 meetings with Army after posting a 17-13 victory last season. Both are coming off victories, with the Midshipmen defeating then-No. 20 UCF 17-14 on Nov. 19 and the Black Knights routing UMass 44-7 a week later.

Kickoff from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia is set for 3 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+. The Midshipmen are 2.5-point favorites in the latest Navy vs. Army odds, while the over/under for total points scored is 32. Before making any Army vs. Navy predictions or any other college football picks, you NEED to see which side SportsLine expert Adam Silverstein is on.

CBS Sports' managing editor, Adam has been picking college football and NFL since 2002. Born and raised in Florida, he has been covering sports since 1996, when he began his own newsletter, and has not stopped following the ins and outs of the games we love. Though he will take the occasional underdog, Adam often looks for value with the favorites, especially after sharp money comes in and lines fall below key numbers.

Silverstein has been LOCKED IN on the tendencies of Navy, going an impressive 6-0-1 in his last seven picks involving the Midshipmen. Anyone who has followed his advice is WAY UP!

Silverstein knows Navy lost four of its previous five contests before pulling off the upset against UCF without completing a pass. The Midshipmen outgained the Knights 248-84 on the ground and are seventh in the nation in rushing with an average of 239.6 yards. They're even better against the run as they've limited opponents to 85.6 yards per contest.

The expert also knows Army will give Navy's run defense a stiff challenge as it possesses the second-best ground attack in the country with an average of 304.4 yards. The Black Knights are tied for third nationally with 37 rushing touchdowns, with 11 different players running for a score. Army is the first team since 2015 to have 11 players register at least 100 rushing yards in a season, with senior quarterback Tyhier Tyler leading the way with 601 and a club-high 12 touchdowns.

Now, Silverstein has locked in his confident against-the-spread pick for Navy vs. Army. We can tell you he's leaning Under the total, but he knows a crucial X-factor that makes one side of the spread a MUST-BACK! You ABSOLUTELY need to see what it is before locking in any picks of your own.
