Before you set your Monday lineups on DraftKings or FanDuel, you need to hear what Mike McClure has to say. McClure is a DFS pro with nearly $2 million in career winnings.
And when it comes to MLB, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book "Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune" as a top MLB DFS player, McClure is off to a hot start this season, already producing multiple tournament lineups that have won big thanks to some spot-on picks.
On Sunday, McClure rostered Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas at $7,800 on FanDuel. The result? Mikolas struck out eight and gave up just two hits and one earned run over seven innings in a win against the Giants -- returning 52 points on FanDuel and almost 7x value for owners.
For Monday's loaded main slate, McClure loves Red Sox second baseman Ian Kinsler at $2,500 on FanDuel and $3,700 on DraftKings. Another pick he loves for Monday: Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon ($4,300 on FanDuel, $5,200 on DraftKings), who gets a matchup against the Phillies at Coors Field, where he's hitting .337 on the season.
McClure is also targeting a player who could go for big numbers on Monday because of a dream matchup. The stars are aligning for him to go for 30, even 40 points on FanDuel and DraftKings, all for a price that won't break the bank. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing.
