Before you set your Sunday lineups on DraftKings or FanDuel, you need to hear what Mike McClure has to say. McClure is a DFS pro with nearly $2 million in career winnings.
And when it comes to MLB, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book "Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune" as a top MLB DFS player, McClure is off to a hot start this season, already producing multiple tournament lineups that have won big thanks to some spot-on picks.
On Saturday, McClure rostered Cubs shortstop Javiez Baez at $4,100 on FanDuel. The result was Baez going off with a two-run home run, an RBI single and a walk, producing 31.7 points on FanDuel -- nearly 8x value for owners.
For Sunday's loaded main slate, McClure loves Rays outfielder Mallex Smith at $3,000 on FanDuel and $3,900 on DraftKings. McClure is rostering Smith with Brewers outfielder Curtis Granderson, who is $4,100 on DraftKings and $3,500 on FanDuel. Both get dream matchups against teams with subpar pitching.
McClure is also targeting a player who could go off on Sunday. The stars are aligning for him to go for 30, even 40 points on FanDuel and DraftKings, all for a price that won't break the bank. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing.
