After leading all receivers in yardage and Fantasy points in his record-setting 2019 season, Michael Thomas failed to catch a single touchdown in an injury-riddled 2020 season. Thomas established himself as one of the NFL's premier wide receivers while playing with Drew Brees as his quarterback, but he will catch passes from some combination of Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill in 2021. With uncertainty at QB, should Thomas still be viewed as a top-10 Fantasy WR? SportsLine Fantasy Football analyst Jacob Gibbs believes there are enough encouraging data points from Thomas' 2020 to believe a return to form should be expected in 2021.
Thomas is still worth consideration as a top-10 Fantasy WR for season-long draft purposes, but just how high should he be ranked at the position in Dynasty formats as he enters his age-28 season?
Gibbs provides a data-driven deep dive to answer that question and address anything that stood out from his advanced statistical profile. These player profiles are just a small part of the advanced analytical prep Gibbs is providing for SportsLine users heading into the 2021 Fantasy football season -- if you want an easy way to keep up with all of the information that will be published this spring and summer, this Advanced Fantasy Football Stat Guide will be updated with links to each article as they go live.
