FCS odds, picks, analysis for Oct. 9 games: College football expert reveals his top weekend predictions, analysis

A number of intriguing FCS matchups highlight this weekend's schedule, including a potentially high-scoring matchup between a pair of teams who lit up the scoreboard this past spring. Jackson State takes on Alabama A&M in a key Southwestern Athletic Conference matchup. Jackson State is a 3.5-point favorite in the latest odds from Caesars Sportsbook.

Following a bye week, Jackson State (3-1, 1-0) is coming off a 24-17 victory over Delta State as freshman quarterback Shedeur Sanders completed 25 of 36 passes (69.4 percent) for 251 yards and three touchdowns. Senior wide receiver Keith Corbin III finished with eight catches for 113 yards and two scores.

Alabama A&M (4-1, 0-1) suffered its first loss of the season last week, losing 37-28 at Grambling State. A&M fell behind in the second quarter and couldn't rally all the way back. Senior quarterback Aqeel Glass completed 36 of 62 passes (58.1 percent) for 446 yards and four touchdowns. He was also intercepted four times. Alabama A&M defeated Jackson State 52-43 on April 10 in their last meeting.
