A number of big-time FCS matchups highlight this weekend's schedule, including a key Ivy League matchup between old rivals. Princeton is on a four-game winning streak to start the year, while Brown looks to secure its first conference win of the season and move to 2-3 overall. Princeton is a 16-point favorite in the latest odds from Caesars Sportsbook.
Last week, Princeton stepped out of conference action and posted a 31-28 triumph at Monmouth. Senior running back Collin Eaddy rushed for three scores, while senior quarterback Cole Smith completed 27 of 41 passes (65.9 percent) for 282 yards. The Tigers rallied from a 21-14 third-quarter deficit to earn the win.
Brown (1-3, 0-1) earned its first win of the season last Saturday with a 31-10 thrashing of Colgate. Senior quarterback E.J. Perry led the Bears by completing 27 of 37 passes (73 percent) for 351 yards and two touchdowns. Sophomore wide receiver Graham Walker had six catches for 89 yards and a score.
Before making any FCS picks or predictions for that game or others for this weekend, you NEED to see what SportsLine college football expert Emory Hunt has to say.
Hunt is the founder and CEO of Football Gameplan, which has been supplying analysis of all levels of football since 2007, and a former running back at Louisiana-Lafayette. He knows the game from a player's perspective. Hunt went 2-1 last week and is 191-154-2 in college football over the past two-plus seasons, returning $1,477 to $100 players. Anybody who has followed him is WAY UP!
Now, Hunt has crunched the numbers for Saturday's games and has posted his best bets. Parlaying these four FCS picks will pay around 8-1!
We can tell you he's picking South Dakota (PK) against Northern Iowa.
"South Dakota has been flying under the radar this season," Hunt told SportsLine. "Last week they were able to knock off North Dakota, raising some eyebrows in the process. Northern Iowa is coming off a tough loss to NDSU, where they needed their offense to get off to a fast start, which it didn't."
Elsewhere this weekend, Hunt has made the call on Prairie View A&M at Bethune Cookman and has found an x-factor in the matchup that makes a spread hit HARD. You ABSOLUTELY need to see what he's picking before you make any plays of your own.
