Dr. Bowers, a Doctor of Physical Therapy currently practicing in the outpatient orthopedic setting on northeast side of Columbus, Ohio, completed his undergraduate work at Siena Heights University. He earned his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Toledo.

He is currently employed by Athletico Physical Therapy and treats a high volume of high school and collegiate athletes in the clinical setting. He's worked previously for a host of different websites serving as an injury analyst, publishing weekly columns, appearing on podcasts and radio shows to provide injury content.

He's broken down some of the most notable injuries heading into Week 17 and here's what he had to say about Tom Brady (elbow) injury. 

The Patriots did not practice on Wednesday but it was estimated that Brady would have been able to participate without limitation," Dr. Bowers said. "This will be an injury that needs to be managed the rest of the season -- physical therapy and cortisone injections may help his symptoms but until the season concludes there is a good chance this doesn't completely resolve. This injury should not pose limitations for him in 2020.
