If you're starting your Fantasy Football Week 1 research or working on DFS lineups for this weekend's games, you NEED to see what SportsLine's highly-rated expert Jacob Gibbs has to say. Gibbs' Fantasy football draft rankings were the eighth-most accurate in the nation across the 2018-20 seasons, per FantasyPros, and he is back with Week 1 Fantasy Football rankings for SportsLine users.
In 2018, Gibbs predicted Patrick Mahomes' Fantasy explosion. In 2019, he projected big-time breakouts for Lamar Jackson and Chris Godwin, while also identifying Darren Waller as the top late-round tight end pick. Last season, Gibbs was one of the few analysts who ranked Davante Adams as Fantasy's WR1 entering the season, and he was all over the breakout seasons for Calvin Ridley and Antonio Gibson. Anyone who has followed Gibbs advice over the past three seasons has been well on their way to a league title.
Now, Gibbs has projected every Fantasy-relevant player's stats for Week 1.
One player Gibbs is especially high on in Week 1: Jacksonville wide receiver Laviska Shenault. Shenault was drafted outside of the top 40 receivers in the majority of leagues, but Gibbs has him ranked as his WR28 for PPR formats for Week 1. And a massive shocker: Gibbs is fading Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb, even though he was drafted as a top 10 Fantasy RB this season. In fact, Gibbs says Chubb won't even finish as a top-15 running back this week!
Gibbs also is calling for a WR you aren't even thinking about to finish in the top 10 at his position! This player could be the difference between winning BIG or going home with nothing.
So who are the best players to target at each position in Week 1? And which WR that you aren't thinking about is set to put up a monster point total? ...
