Fantasy Football draft strategy 2026: Projected busts relative to ADP
SportsLine fantasy analyst Josh Nagel gives his 2026 Fantasy football busts according to average draft position

Roster busts represent the death knell of Fantasy football rosters across all formats. It's one thing to have an unexpected injury put an end to your Fantasy championship hopes, as countless managers experience annually. But it's another feeling entirely when the coveted player you drafted is out there every week, but he just doesn't live up anywhere near expectations.
Although injuries and extremely bad luck are both part of Fantasy football and beyond anyone's control, non-injury roster busts arguably hurt the most. Your preseason hot take returned an ice-cold result, and your Fantasy season failed because of it.
Speaking of hot takes, we've noticed something of a trend in this industry. That is, the player or players whom the "experts" inexplicably hype the most, almost inevitably fail to deliver on said hype. This dynamic is going to factor into our projected Fantasy football busts for the upcoming season.
With this in mind, below is my list of projected non-injury Fantasy football busts, relative to their FantasyPros average draft position (ADP), for the 2026 NFL season.
