Before you make any West Ham vs. Newcastle picks or English Premier League predictions, you MUST see what SportsLine soccer insider Martin Green has to say!
After working in the sports betting industry for several years, Green became a professional sports writer and handicapper and has covered the game worldwide. Since then, his European soccer picks have been spot-on. Green has generated almost $33,000 for $100 bettors since the 2017-18 season.
Green is 24-22-1 on his soccer picks in 2023 and went 23-23-1 on his World Cup picks. He also crushed his tournament predictions on the Early Edge. He backed the USMNT to advance (+100), Kylian Mbappe to win the Golden Boot (+900) and Netherlands, England and Argentina all to win their groups (+210) among his correct picks.
Green knows Newcastle have been dominant for much of the season and just added a piece to help solve their scoring struggles. Anthony Gordon came over from Everton and joins an attack that can also feature Miguel Almiron and Callum WIlson, who have combined for 15 goals. The back line is the strength of the Magpies, as they have conceded just 11 goals in 20 matches. Sven Botman and Fabian Schar hold things down in the middle in front of goalkeeper Nick Pope, who leads the league in save percentage (83.9) and clean sheets (12).
The expert also has considered that the Hammers have finished in the top seven in consecutive seasons in the EPL and remain dangerous. They are pretty solid on the back end, conceding 25 goals, but have scored just 17. Danny Ings was added in the transfer window, and he had six goals while starting eight of his 18 appearances with Aston Villa. Jarrod Bowen (four goals) can break through for a goal at any time. With the likes of Declan Rice, Pablo Fornals and Lucas Paqueta, the Hammers have the talent to be competitive with anyone.
Green has taken an in-depth look at the West Ham vs. Newcastle match from every angle, and we can tell you he is taking the Under on the goal total. He also has another CONFIDENT best bet that would pay almost 3-1 and offers his full breakdown of the match. You ABSOLUTELY need to see his picks and analysis before making any selections of your own.
