Manchester United looks to bounce back from a subpar campaign as it begins its 2022-23 English Premier League season by hosting Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday. After being runners-up the previous season, the Red Devils were sixth in the Premier League standings in 2021-22 as they recorded their lowest win total (16) since 1990-91, when they posted the same amount. Brighton went 12-15-11 last campaign en route to its best finish (ninth place) since being promoted to the Premier League for the 2017-18 season.
Kickoff at Old Trafford is set for 9 a.m. ET. The Red Devils are -160 favorites (risk $160 to win $100) in the latest Manchester United vs. Brighton odds from Caesars Sportsbook. The Seagulls are +450 underdogs and a 90-minute draw is priced at +290 while the over/under for total goals scored is 2.5.
Before making any Brighton vs. Manchester United picks or predictions, you NEED to see what soccer insider Brandt Sutton has to say.

The expert knows it's still uncertain whether or not Cristiano Ronaldo will play for Manchester United in its opener after the superstar was one of several Red Devils that left the pitch before Sunday's friendly against Rayo Vallecano had concluded. Man United certainly could use the Portuguese forward finished third in the Premier League with 18 goals last season. Even if new manager Erik ten Hag doesn't utilize Ronaldo, the Red Devils still have a dangerous weapon in midfielder Bruno Fernandes, who netted 10 tallies and added six assists in 2021-22.
Sutton also knows Belgian winger Leandro Trossard and French forward Neal Maupay shared the lead for Brighton last season with eight goals apiece. The 27-year-old Trossard was in fine form during the Seagulls' 5-1 triumph over Espanyol in a friendly on July 30 as he recorded a hat trick in the second half of the match. Trossard also tallied in Brighton's largest-ever victory against Manchester United, a 4-0 home win on May 7.
