The Eastern Michigan Eagles and San Jose State Spartans look to end their bowl droughts when they meet in Tuesday's Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. The Eagles (8-4), who are 1-5 all-time in bowl games, have not won a bowl since defeating San Jose State 30-27 in the 1987 California Bowl. Eastern Michigan tied for first in the Mid-American Conference West Division with Toledo this season. The Spartans (7-4), who placed second in the Western Division of the Mountain West Conference, are looking for their eighth bowl game win, but first since 2015.

The game from Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho, kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET. San Jose State is favored by 4.5 points at Caesars Sportsbook, while the over/under is set at 54.5 (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our college football odds page).

Before making any Eastern Michigan vs. San Jose State picks, you NEED to check out the college football predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

The model knows San Jose State junior quarterback Chevan Cordeiro, a transfer from Hawaii, is a dual-threat for the Spartans. He leads the team in passing and is second in rushing. For the year, Cordeiro has completed 233 of 382 passes (61%) for 2,884 yards and 20 touchdowns with four interceptions and a 139.6 rating. He has also carried 129 times for 215 yards (1.7 average) and eight touchdowns, including a long run of 38 yards. He was named the Mountain West Player of the Week twice this past season – Oct. 3 and Oct. 10 – and was a second-team All-Mountain West selection.

The model also knows Eastern Michigan senior running back Samson Evans has had a solid season, rushing for 100 yards or more four times. He carried 36 times for 258 yards and one touchdown in a 30-21 win at Arizona State on Sept. 17. In his last game, a 38-19 Eagles win over Central Michigan on Nov. 25, Evans rushed 23 times for 135 yards and a score. For the season, he has carried 224 times for 1,084 yards (4.8 average) and 13 touchdowns.
