We're only weeks away from the start of the NFL season, and while that means it's high time to finalize your futures bets on what will happen over the course of the year, it's also a great time to review the Week 1 lines and see where it makes sense to jump on value before the market shifts the preferred side to a less valuable number.
We did something similar when the lines came out in May over on CBS. Back then, we suggested taking the Rams as 2.5-point favorites in Australia, and while the Myles Garrett trade helped push the line quickly through 3 to 3.5, I believe it was heading there anyway. We were also able to get ahead of the Jaguars moving off -7 up to -7.5, the Chargers in single digits when they're now -10.5 and a Ravens-Colts Under that has come down one point since the article.
Since there still isn't massive equity in the Week 1 market compared to where it will be once we get to the week the regular season begins, there should still be opportunity to find line value if we can predict which way the market will sway.
