College football power ratings: Miami jumps to Tier 1 after wild Week 7, Texas falls after loss to Florida
SportsLine college football expert Thomas Casale breaks down his top college football teams after Week 7

It was one of the wildest college football Saturdays in recent memory, and that leads to a lot of movement in the power rankings. The Georgia Bulldogs remain at the top despite a loss, while Texas falls down the rankings.
One thing to keep in mind: Betting power rankings are different from regular power rankings or the AP poll. BYU jumped to No. 2 in the AP poll after beating Notre Dame, and the Cougars deserve that ranking. However, if BYU and Notre Dame play again on a neutral field, the Irish would likely still be favored. So, while many top teams lost, we don't penalize them as much because the betting market usually doesn't overreact to one outcome.
I'll break down the power rankings by tiers so bettors can see where I cut off each group. During the year, I will move teams based on results and discuss changes in the betting market.
