Edmonton Oilers at Florida Panthers (-150, 6.5): 8:00 p.m. ET

Last season Florida outlasted Edmonton in seven games to win the Stanley Cup Final. This year the Panthers can wrap up the series in six games with a win at home on Tuesday night. 

It's been a razor-close series overall, with three of the games being decided in overtime. Florida has outscored the Oilers 19-16 through five games, with each one going over the total. The two teams have now gone over the total in seven straight meetings. 

Edmonton needs a win on the road to force a Game 7, although the Oilers have been good away from home. They are 30-20-2 on the road this season and 7-4 in the playoffs. The Panthers are 6-2 in the last eight meetings, with six of the games being decided by one goal.

Best MLB bets today

New York Mets at Atlanta Braves (-135, 8.5): 7:15 p.m. ET

The Mets come limping into their series with Atlanta after getting swept by Tampa Bay over the weekend. The Rays feasted on New York pitching, scoring 24 runs in the three games. 

David Peterson tries to stop the bleeding for the Mets. It will be difficult for Peterson to top his last outing when he pitched a complete game shutout against Washington. The left-hander has been consistent this season, allowing three runs or fewer in 12 of 13 starts. 

Spencer Schwellenbach gets the call for Atlanta. The 25-year-old is coming off a dominant complete game win over the Brewers, where he allowed two runs and struck out nine. Schwellenbach has now struck out 35 batters in his last four starts (28.1 innings).

Milwaukee Brewers at Chicago Cubs (-150, 9.5): 8:05 p.m. ET

The Brewers and Cubs kick off a three-game series in a matchup between the two top teams in the NL Central. Chicago leads Milwaukee by 5.5 games heading into Tuesday's series opener. 

The Brewers turn to Chad Patrick. Patrick is coming off his worst outing of the season, where he allowed five runs over 5.0 innings in a 6-2 loss to Atlanta. Before that poor performance, Patrick had given up three runs or less in 14 straight starts. 

Chicago counters with Ben Brown. Brown has been roughed up in three of his last five starts. In those three outings, he allowed 20 runs in only 14.2 innings of work. However, Brown did pitch well in his lone start against Milwaukee this season, throwing 6.0 scoreless innings in a 10-0 Cubs win.
