2026 Scottish Open odds, predictions: Top picks, props and analysis for the upcoming event at North Berwick, Scotland

Golf insider Brady Kannon has broken down the 2026 Scottish Open field at North Berwick, Scotland, and locked in his predictions and best bets

ByUpdated: Jul 08, 2026 8:23PM UTC . 3 min read

Chris Gotterup will look to make it back-to-back Scottish Open victories when he takes part in the event at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland. He won last year's event by two strokes over both Rory McIlroy and Marco Penge. The tournament, which begins on Thursday, will be played on the par-70, 7,282-yard course. Scottie Scheffler is the +550 favorite at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Others expected to contend include McIlroy (+1000), Jon Rahm (+1500), Xander Schauffele (+1800), Matt Fitzpatrick (+2000), Ludvig Ã…berg (+2200) and Tommy Fleetwood (+2200). Gotterup is at +2700 to repeat as champ.

Before making any 2026 Scottish Open picks, you NEED to see the predictions and Scottish Open best bets from elite golf expert Brady Kannon.

Kannon is an elite golfing handicapper with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. He has called eight major winners since 2013 and hit six PGA winners, including 110-1 longshot Harris English at the Farmers Insurance Open in 2025. He also hit on Matt Fitzpatrick (15-1) this year for an outright winner. Additionally, he's 49-44-5 on head-to-head bets since joining SportsLine. Anyone who followed his lead could have been WAY UP!

Now, Kannon has been digging into the 2026 Scottish Open field to find the best betting value and just locked in his Scottish Open best bets to back. We can tell you he's fading Tom Kim at 65-1 at FanDuel.

"Kim is not necessarily one of the shorter priced favorites this week but he certainly is a favorite among golf bettors this week and I am not on board," Kannon said. "He got everyone's attention with a third-place finish at the U.S. Open. He was a popular choice last week at the John Deere Classic, where he was one of the shorter priced favorites, and he finished 46th. He ranks 104th on Tour in SG: Off the Tee and 102nd for SG: Putting.

"In three visits to North Berwick, Kim has fared quite well with finishes of 6-15-17 but now it seems if he arrives with expectations and we saw what that did to Eric Cole last week, barely making the cut. Honestly, the golf course next week for the Open Championship might be a better fit for a play on Tom Kim when the expectations will likely be far less – and will be even worse if he does not play well here in Scotland this week."

Kannon has revealed his best bets, and they include a 275-1 longshot who "is a ball-striking birdie machine." You ABSOLUTELY need to see who it is before locking in your bets!
