Mike Vrabel won the Coach of the Year award last season for turning the Patriots into one of the best teams in the AFC and securing a 14-3 record. He was the favorite at some books prior to the season, so we went with Ben Johnson as our top pick at slightly better odds, and the Bears coach finished fourth despite also finishing with the No. 2 seed in his conference.
This year, John Harbaugh is the favorite to win the award at most markets and has a similar path to Vrabel's last year -- a successful coach who spent a long time with one franchise coming in and immediately getting a win total that suggests he could compete in Year 1. The Giants have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball, and if they take home the division title, then Harbaugh has a great chance at winning the award.
