Preakness Stakes winner Journalism will get a chance to turn the tables on Kentucky Derby winner Sovereignty when the starting gate opens in the 2025 Belmont Stakes on Saturday at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Last month at the Derby, Sovereignty passed Journalism in the stretch to win the first leg of the Triple Crown. Two weeks later in the Preakness Stakes, Journalism overcame massive traffic trouble down the lane en route to one of the most remarkable wins in Triple Crown history. But Sovereignty was not in the race. For Saturday, Journalism has been installed as the 8-5 morning-line favorite in the Belmont Stakes odds, slightly ahead of Sovereignty (2-1).
