2024 Scottish Open odds, predictions: Best bets to make for the Scottish Open at Renaissance Club
The Scottish swing is upon us as players travel across the pond for two weeks of links golf. The 2024 Scottish Open will make another appearance on the PGA Tour calendar, doubling as a PGA Tour and DP World Tour event for the third straight season. While it has long been featured on the European circuit, the Scottish Open has only recently been made a stop by PGA Tour players.
In the first edition, it was Xander Schauffele who reigned supreme. He is among the betting favorites, but the man atop the odds board is the man who finished atop the leaderboard last season -- Rory McIlroy. Making a birdie on the 72nd hole to clip Scotland's Robert MacIntyre by one, the Northern Irishman collected another country's crown. McIlroy will be making his first start since losing to Bryson DeChambeau at the U.S. Open in agonizing fashion.
Also in the field are a number of players who are in fine form but still looking for their first wins of 2024. Ludvig Aberg makes his second tournament appearance, Collin Morikawa hopes to continue his strong play, and Tommy Fleetwood, Viktor Hovland and Tom Kim are among those who have found success in this part of the world and look to grab one more trophy before the final major championship of the season.
