With the PGA Tour's 2024 season now behind players and fans, the 2024 Hero World Challenge takes center stage as 20 players travel to The Bahamas for Tiger Woods' annual event. While the 15-time major champion will not play this year as he recovers from his sixth back surgery this past fall, the rest of the field will feature many of the world's best, including the man who seemingly no one could upend this past season.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler tees it up in the Hero World Challenge for the fourth time in his career. Finishing runner-up to Viktor Hovland his first two tries, Scheffler surged to the top of the leaderboard in 2023 and cruised to the winner's circle over Sepp Straka as he discovered his putting stroke and set up what was a memorable 2024 campaign.

He arrives at this year's Hero Word Challenge as the heavy favorite at +250, and for good reason. Clearly the best player in the field, Scheffler will need to slip up if his counterparts are to find a way past him. First in line is Patrick Cantlay, who tees it up for the first time since the Tour Championship.

Without a victory this year, Cantlay hopes to enter the winner's circle for the first time, as do the likes of Justin Thomas, Ludvig Åberg, Russell Henley, Tom Kim and Sahith Theegala, all of whom are listed below +2000. First-time participants include PGA Tour rookies Nick Dunlap and Matthieu Pavon.
