2023 NFL Mock Draft: Three teams trade up for QB and reacting to NFL Draft prop line movement

We're one week out from the draft, and already so much has changed from last week when I put out my first mock draft of the year. There, we were ahead of the curve tying Alabama pass rusher Will Anderson to the Texans at No. 2, as he's now the favorite to be selected in the second spot (+135 at Caesars Sportsbook, well ahead of Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud at +260).

We've been keeping you updated this week when it comes to notable shifts in the odds, but I wanted to have one more crack at a SportsLine exclusive mock draft before we get to the weekend when so much information is likely to come out. I'll be reacting to that information in my CBS Sports mock draft on Monday, but by then many of the best betting opportunities will be long gone. Some already are, with Bryce Young all the way up to -1200 to be the first overall pick.

We found a few good leverage spots for Young in last week's mock, and we'll try to identify other value plays that still make sense below while constructing a mock draft that is some combination of prop line movement, dot connecting and my own research into each team. My mock drafts also include trades, which are even harder to project than prospect-team pairings, but I don't think it's realistic to do a first-round projection without them. In this latest mock draft, you'll see three teams trading up for quarterbacks as well as a few other deals throughout the first round.
