The 2023 Formula 1 season will continue on Sunday with the 2023 Spanish Grand Prix on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The race will begin at 9 a.m. ET and Red Bull Racing enters having won the first six races of the season. Max Verstappen has won four times and sits atop the 2023 F1 standings while Carlos Perez has two wins and sits second at 39 points off the pace. Verstappen is the -250 favorite (risk $250 to win $100) in the 2023 Spanish Grand Prix odds from Caesars Sportsbook while Perez is priced at +333. Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso (+1000) is the only other driver listed at 10-1 or better in the 2023 Spanish Grand Prix field.

SportsLine's proven computer projection model simulated the Spanish GP 2023 10,000 times and came up with a surprising leaderboard.

Developed by daily Fantasy pro and SportsLine predictive data engineer Mike McClure, this proprietary Formula 1 prediction model takes into account a slew of factors including track history and recent results.

The model has been scorching hot when it comes to picking Formula 1 race events dating back to 2021. It nailed both of Leclerc's wins in 2022, and at the 2021 Mexican Grand Prix, the model was strongly backing Verstappen as its top pick. The result: Verstappen dominated the field and ran away with a surprising victory.

It followed that up by calling Verstappen's win at the Rolex Emilia Romagna GP in April and nailed Verstappen to win in Belgium, the Netherlands, Japan, the United States, Mexico and Abu Dhabi. It also called Verstappen's victories in Bahrain, Australia, Miami and Monaco to start the 2023 season. Anyone who followed the model's lead on those plays has seen HUGE returns!

The Spanish Grand Prix was first held in 1913 and has been held consecutively at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya since 1991. Lewis Hamilton will enter Sunday's race seeking a record-setting seventh victory in the Spanish Grand Prix, with five straight victories coming from 2017-2021. Hamilton's six wins are tied with Michael Schumacher for the most of all-time. Verstappen and Alonso, a native of Spain, are both two-time winners of the Spanish Grand Prix and are the only other two drivers in the 2023 field who have won the race.

Now, the model has dialed in on the 2023 Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix and just released its coveted picks and leaderboard projections.

We can tell you the model is fading on Mercedes driver George Russell, even though he's tied for fifth favorite at +3300. Russell is currently fifth in the Formula 1 standings but it's been a bit of a disappointment after a 2022 season where he beat out teammate Lewis Hamilton and finished fourth. Russell hasn't hit the podium yet after seven podiums including a win in 2022. He finished eighth in Azerbaijan and had to be retired in Australia.

The model is also targeting one driver getting triple-digit Spanish Grand Prix odds to make a serious charge up the leaderboard! Anyone who backs this driver could hit it BIG. You ABSOLUTELY need to see who he is before locking in any Formula 1 Monaco GP picks of your own.

So who wins the 2023 Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix? And which SERIOUS long shot might be in contention? ... Join SportsLine right now to see the full projected F1 Spanish GP leaderboard, all from the model that has nailed its racing picks the last two years, and find out!
