A weaker-than-expected PGA Tour field is on hand for this week's 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, but that just means that many unheralded golfers can seize an opportunity. Three-time major winner Jordan Spieth and 2022 U.S. Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick lead the 156-player field. The same number of celebrities and high rollers will join them to play across three courses on California's Monterey Peninsula starting Thursday. Tom Hoge will be back to defend his title after going 19 under to beat Spieth by two strokes last year.
Caesars Sportsbook lists Spieth as the 9-1 favorite in its latest 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am odds. Fitzpatrick (10-1) and Viktor Hovland (10-1) are right behind, followed by Maverick McNealy (16-1), Hoge (17-1) and Seamus Power (19-1).
Which players can you trust for your Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2023 fantasy golf picks? Before you bet the 2023 Pebble Beach Pro-Am or lock in any Fantasy golf lineups, you NEED to see the 2023 Pebble Beach Pro-Am Fantasy golf rankings from Fantasy expert Jim Holliman.
Holliman has been a writer and editor for nearly 25 years and has been playing and following the game closely for more than three decades. The Florida-based writer knows what it takes to win on the PGA Tour and how the players' games fit the courses.
The golf expert has been on a roll on his picks since last season. At last week's Farmers Insurance Open, every player in his predictions made the cut, and four finished in the top 15, including winner Max Homa! At the Sony Open, his bargain pick Matt Kuchar posted a top-10 finish, and two more were in the top 15. And at The American Express, four of his selections finished in the top 26.
Last season, he NAILED the Tour Championship, saying Rory McIlroy was the only player capable of making up a six-stroke deficit to get past Scottie Scheffler. "He is the most well-rounded player in this field," the expert said, "so if anyone can do it, he can." The Northern Irishman was actually down by 10 through two holes Sunday but stormed back to claim the title.
Holliman also was behind Will Zalatoris (28-1) at the St. Jude and was on the money at the Wyndham Championship, with Tom Kim (35-1) among his selections. Anyone who has followed Holliman's predictions is WAY UP on their golf picks.
Now, Holliman has ranked his top players for the 2023 Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and we can tell you the expert is strongly backing Hovland. Holliman knows the young Norwegian has the talent to start piling up victories, and his well-rounded game should be a perfect fit for Pebble Beach.
On the other hand, Holliman is surprisingly steering clear of Spieth, who won the Pro-Am in 2017 and has finished in the top 25 nine of his past 10 tries at Pebble Beach. The problem is, his game isn't conducive to winning right now, and he doesn't even crack Holliman's top five!
Instead, Holliman is backing several MASSIVE long shots listed well over 50-1! One of these golfers comes in off three straight missed cuts and is priced at around 100-1, but the expert says this player's short game will put him in contention. If he pulls off a SHOCKING victory, he would bring a MASSIVE payday and make an excellent pick for your Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2023 Fantasy golf picks.
You ABSOLUTELY need to see who Holliman is touting and check out his top picks before you lock in any 2023 Pebble Beach Pro-Am fantasy golf picks!
