The PGA Tour heads to New Orleans this week for the 2022 Zurich Classic. The tournament has gone with the team format since 2017, and will have the players playing best-ball on Thursday and Saturday and alternate shot on Friday and Sunday. World No. 1 and Masters champion Scottie Scheffler will be making his first appearance since capturing this year's green jacket and will headline the 2022 Zurich Classic field. He will be teamed up with Ryan Palmer, who is also no stranger to success at this event.
The team of Collin Morikawa and Viktor Hovland are the 7-1 betting favorites in the latest Zurich Classic odds from Caesars Sportsbook. They are followed by Xander Schauffele-Patrick Cantlay (8-1), Cameron Smith-Marc Leishman (9-1), and Palmer-Scheffler (11-1).
If picking an outright winner doesn't intrigue you, be sure to check out the 2022 Zurich Classic prop bets available at Caesars. Golf prop bets are growing in popularity because they allow fans to follow the action throughout the weekend.
SportsLine's Mike McClure has analyzed the field and used his proven golf model to simulate the 2022 Zurich Classic 10,000 times, and there are some MAJOR surprises.
SportsLine's proprietary golf model, built by McClure, has been RED-HOT since the PGA Tour resumed in June of 2020. In fact, the model is up over $7,500 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.
At the 2022 Masters, McClure's model was all over Scottie Scheffler's first career major championship victory heading into the weekend. In addition, McClure's best bets included Collin Morikawa winning outright at the 2021 Open Championship, even though he was listed as a massive 40-1 long shot.
This same model has also nailed a whopping eight majors entering the weekend! Anyone who has followed it has seen MASSIVE returns!
Now, McClure has set his sights on the 2022 Zurich Classic and just revealed his top prop bets and matchup plays. They're a must-see for any player looking for a HUGE edge in their Zurich Classic 2022 betting strategy.
We can tell you that McClure is high on the team of Will Zalatoris and Davis Riley to secure a top 5 finish at 5-1 odds. Zalatoris has been one of the hottest players on the PGA Tour over the last calendar year, while Riley notched a second place finish at the Valspar Championship in late March. With the course at TPC Louisiana projecting as one of the easiest on tour, McClure expects Zalatoris and Riley to thrive.
McClure has also locked in a slew of other prop bets for the 2022 RBC Heritage, including a long shot higher than 150-1 to win it all! You ABSOLUTELY need to see who it is before locking in any picks of your own.
