The 2022 Women's NCAA Tournament's first round continues Saturday with 16 games, meaning there are opportunities for bettors to cash in. The women's game isn't known for its upsets, but some teams are in action that could pull one off. The most intriguing matchup could be streaking sixth-seeded Kentucky against defensive stalwart and No. 11 seed Princeton at 4 p.m. ET. Storied UConn, a No. 2 seed, and top-seeded N.C. State also take the floor Saturday. If you want to hit big, combine a few of these teams in a parlay and sit back and watch.
Before you lock in any Women's NCAA Tournament bets and women's college basketball predictions, you really have to see what picks women's college basketball experts Calvin Wetzel and Aaron Barzilai are making.
Barzilai is a Ph.D. from Stanford who served as Director of Basketball Analytics for the Philadelphia 76ers. Five years ago, he founded HerHoopStats.com -- a groundbreaking website that unlocks insights about the women's game. Wetzel, the site's lead betting writer, incorporates his mathematical background and strong knowledge of women's NCAA hoops to turn the site's prediction model into picks.
Barzilai and Wetzel got off to a fast start with SportsLine as they went 13-7 on their first 20 picks. Currently, they are 559-408 overall (+113.80 units, +12.99 percent) in the 2021-22 women's college basketball season.
Barzilai and Wetzel have locked in three confident picks for the first round of the Women's NCAA Tournament, and if you combine them in a parlay, it would pay just under 6-1. We can reveal one leg of their parlay: The experts like UConn to cover the huge 29.5-point spread against Mercer (1 p.m. ET). Reigning National Player of the Year Paige Bueckers is healthy after missing two months for the Huskies, and since she returned, "UConn has been on auto-bet mode," the experts say.
The experts also have locked in two other picks they love, and both are heavy underdogs that are tournament-tested. You ABSOLUTELY need to see these picks before locking in any women's college basketball picks of your own.
