Before you decide on any Ohio State vs. Utah Rose Bowl picks or college football predictions, you need to see what the SportsLine Projection Model has to say.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. Over the past five-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated a stunning profit of almost $3,600 for $100 players on its top-rated college football picks against the spread. It also entered the second week of the 2021-22 college football bowl season on a 43-30 run on all top-rated college football side picks. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

The model has considered that the Buckeyes will be fired up to close out strong after a sloppy performance against the Wolverines. The OSU offense led the nation in total yards (551.3 yards per game) and scoring (45.5 points). QB C.J. Stroud completes 70.9 percent of his passes (sixth in FBS) and has 3,862 passing yards (ninth), with 38 TD passes and just five interceptions. The Buckeyes have just 19 takeaways but are plus-10 in turnover margin and allow less than 21 points per game.

The model also knows the Utes have a top-25 defense, allowing just 317.3 yards per game (13th in FBS) and an average of 20.6 points (24th). They have 42 sacks, sixth-most in the nation, led by end Mika Tafua (9.5) and linebacker Devin Lloyd (eight). QB Cameron Rising (2,279 yards, 18 TDs, five INTs) leads an offense that leans toward the run. He also has 407 rushing yards, while RB Tavion Thomas has 1,041 and 20 TDs. Utah averages 216.2 yards (15th in FBS) and 35.5 points (19th).

The SportsLine model has simulated Saturday's Utah vs. Ohio State 2022 Rose Bowl matchup 10,000 times, and the results are in. We can tell you that the model is leaning Under on the total, and it also says one side of the spread is hitting in 60 percent of simulations.
