Trae Young has taken his talents to an Oklahoma City Pro-Am league this offseason, and based on his recent game-winning shot in the OKC Skins League, the 22-year-old point guard looks like he is primed to lead the Atlanta Hawks into NBA title contention in 2022.Â
The Hawks are currently listed at +3000 (risk $100 to win $3000) in the latest NBA title odds from William Hill Sportsbook. That trails only the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks (+800) and Philadelphia 76ers (+1600) in the NBA Eastern Conference. Young is also listed at +2000 in the 2022 NBA MVP odds behind the likes of , Luka Doncic (+425), Joel Embiid (+650), Kevin Durant (+700), Stephen Curry (+900), Giannis Antetokounmpo (+800), LeBron James (+1000), Damian Lillard (+1200), and Nikola Jokic (+1400).
Young will cement his place among the superstars in today's NBA with another strong season in 2021-2022. The former Oklahoma Sooner will need some help for the Hawks to contend for a NBA title, though. The Hawks hold the No. 20 and No. 43 picks in the upcoming NBA Draft.
