Chivas Guadalajara continues its quest for its first win of the Apertura 2022 Liga MX season when it visits Necaxa on Friday. Despite its struggles, Chivas (0-6-2) has lost just one of its last six matches as it is coming off a 1-1 draw against Atlas on Saturday. Necaxa (4-1-4) has a quick turnaround as it returns to action after playing to a 2-2 draw versus Puebla on Tuesday.
Kickoff at Estadio Victoria in Aguascalientes is set for 8 p.m. ET. Guadalajara is a +165 favorite (risk $100 to win $165) on the 90-minute money line in the latest Necaxa vs. Guadalajara odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Eimer knows Necaxa has won just one of its last four matches but climbed into fourth place in the standings with Tuesday's draw. Forward Facundo Batista and defender Agustin Oliveros, both from Uruguay, provided the offense for Los Rayos, who have allowed two goals in each of their last two matches after doing so just once over their first seven contests. Batista's tally was his third of the season, tying him with Milton Gimenez for the team lead.
The expert also knows Guadalajara has struggled offensively, recording a total of five goals in its eight matches. Winger Alexis Vega, who set up Miguel Angel Ponce's tally in Chivas' 1-0 victory against Necaxa in their most recent meeting on Apr. 29, has registered a goal and two assists for the club this season. Guadalajara has performed well defensively, however, yielding only seven tallies overall and posting three clean sheets over its first six games.
