Liverpool hosts Newcastle United on Wednesday in a 2022-23 English Premier League match at Anfield. The Reds (1-2-1) are looking to get rolling after a 9-0 demolition of Bournemouth on Saturday. That first victory made up somewhat for a 2-1 loss to Manchester United last Monday. Newcastle (1-3-0) are off to a surprising start and sit seventh in the Premier League table, two spots (and one point) ahead of Liverpool.

Before you lock in your Newcastle vs. Liverpool picks or English Premier League predictions, you NEED to see what proven soccer expert Martin Green has to say.
After working in the sports betting industry for several years, Green became a professional sports writer and handicapper and has covered the game worldwide. Since then, his European soccer picks have been spot-on. Green has generated almost $35,000 for $100 bettors since the 2017-18 season, and he is 9-7 over his past 16 EPL picks. He has his finger on the pulse of the game all over the globe.
Green knows the Reds are eager to get back to the top of the table, and they have more talent than they did when they finished second last season. Luis Diaz and Roberto Firmino each scored twice in Saturday's rout, and Mohamed Salah, who shared the league lead with 23 goals last season, is a danger to heat up any time. Liverpool were the only EPL team without a home loss last season (15-4-0), and Newcastle comes in with injury concerns, with key attacker Allan Saint-Maximin (one goal, two assists) expected to miss out.
The expert also is aware that the Magpies have seen a lot of additions over the past year, so they should have more depth to overcome injuries. The team hopes Alexander Isak is registered in time to fill in for Saint-Maximin, and the Swedish striker had 32 goals over the past three seasons with Real Sociedad. Callum Wilson led the team with eight goals last season and has two in 2022-23. Newcastle allow a fair amount of shots, but new goalkeeper Nick Pope has saved 80 percent of the attempts he has faced (15 of 20).
Green has broken down the Liverpool vs. Newcastle matchup from all sides and locked in his best bets. We can tell you he's leaning Over on the goal total. He also offers three CONFIDENT best bets, including a player to score a goal, and has his full breakdown of this Premier League match.
