Proven soccer expert Martin Green has identified his best bets for the Arsenal vs. Liverpool matchup below, and bettors who have followed his advice have cashed in huge. Green is a handicapper who has covered the game worldwide, and his European soccer picks have generated more than $37,000 for $100 bettors since the 2017-18 season.
Green knows the Reds are mostly at full strength, though star striker Mohamed Salah is off at the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt. He also knows Liverpool has plenty of quality in reserve. Diogo Jota, who has 12 goals in all competitions, could be joined by the likes of 17-year-old Kaide Gordon (one goal in two games) and Harvey Blair, 18. Alisson should hold things down in the net, and if players like Virgil Van Djik and Joel Matip give way on defense, 19-year-old Billy Koumetio and Conor Bradley, 18, could get big chances.
The expert also has taken into account that Arsenal will be eager to bounce back from a 1-0 setback to Championship team Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup. That came on the heels of a strong battle in a 2-1 loss to league leader Manchester City on New Year's Day. Bukayo Saka (seven goals, four assists) and Alexandre Lacazette (five, four) could feature for the Gunners, and Aaron Ramsdale has been a wall in the net. The 23-year-old has 10 clean sheets in 18 starts in all competitions, with an 81.7 save percentage.
