2020 Los Angeles Dodgers Preview: Projected rotation, starting lineup, prospects, win total

    Los Angeles Dodgers

    2019 record: 106-56

    Record in one-run games: 27-22

O/U win total from Willam Hill: 102

Key Additions: Mookie Betts, David Price, Blake Treinen, Alex Wood, Jimmy Nelson

Key Losses: Hyun-Jin Ryu, Alex Verdugo

The Dodgers made headlines in the offseason for landing studs in Betts and Price, with Alex Verdugo and prospects heading to Boston in a clear salary dump by the Red Sox. Los Angeles also added Blake Treinen to their bullpen on a very team-friendly contract. The Dodgers lost All Star starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu, but they signed Jimmy Nelson and Alex Wood as strong bounce-back candidates.

    Projected Rotation

    1) Clayton Kershaw

    2) Walker Buehler

    3) David Price

    4) Julio Urias

    5) Dustin May/Alex Wood/Tony Gonsolin

The Dodgers are absolutely stacked at starting pitcher, as they have been for years now. However, now they have a couple top prospects they can throw into the fold. They acquired Price and they are expected to have Urias start this season. They have plenty of options for the fifth starter role, most notably top prospect Dustin May.

    Fantasy-relevant relievers

Kenley Jansen (projected 46 saves, 3.01 ERA)

Joe Kelly (projected 5 saves, 4.53 ERA)

Blake Treinen (projected 8 saves, 3.02 ERA)

    Major League-ready prospects

Dustin May (SP), Gavin Lux (SS), Tony Gonsolin (SP), Brusdar Graterol (SP)

    Projected Lineup

    1) Mookie Betts

    2) Max Muncy

    3) Justin Turner

    4) Cody Bellinger

    5) Corey Seager

    6) Will Smith

    7) Gavin Lux

    8) AJ Pollock/Joc Pederson

This lineup is usually one of the best in the league but without the big names. This year, it has the names and it is probably the best in the league. They added Mookie Betts to the top of the lineup, and they get a full season of top prospects Will Smith and Gavin Lux. They have plenty of depth as well, so injuries won't be a problem.

    Key bench players

    Chris Taylor, Kike Hernandez
