Jonathan Coachman is joined by expert sports bettors Mike McClure and Rick Gehman on the Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for the NBA, golf and college basketball for Saturday, Feb. 6.

Coach starts things off with the SportsLine Play of the Day: Michigan State (-11.5) over Nebraska (6:30 p.m. ET start). "Michigan State has started to play a lot better," Coach says. "They payed good against Iowa. They played again against Ohio State. Now they're finally back home. And Nebraska hasn't played since Jan. 10. There's going to be a lot of rust."

McClure's four pack of picks begins with taking the Nets (+3) to cover against the 76ers (8 p.m. ET). Even though Brooklyn will be without Kevin Durant, Philadelphia's Ben Simmons is dealing with a calf ailment, and McClure thinks Philadelphia may be without Joel Embiid. "[Simmons] sat the last game and is dealing with a calf injury -- not something I want to be dealing with when I'm playing a rapid-paced game like they will against the Brooklyn Nets," McClure says.

McClure also likes one player prop from that same game: James Harden to have Over 10.5 assists. McClure's model has Harden's median assist number at 12.2. "We're going to continue to go back to that well until he gives us a reason not to," McClure says. "He only ended up 'only' with 12 assists last night [and] covered the prop for us."

McClure's third play for Saturday is Chicago's Patrick Williams to have Over 1.5 assists (7 p.m. ET). McClure thinks the 19-year-old Williams is in store for up to 35 minutes on the second night of a back-to-back. "If you look through the games he's played this year, he's hitting the Over quite often anytime he's exceeding 32 minutes, and I'm projecting him for 34 tonight," McClure says.

McClure's final play is Golden State's Steph Curry to have Over 28.5 points (8:30 p.m. ET). "This is a primetime game on ABC against Luka Doncic," McClure says. "This is what Steph Curry lives for."

Gehman attacks Saturday's schedule with two matchups for the third round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale. The first is Brendan Steele (-125) over Adam Hadwin. "Both are going to start the day in a tie for 27th at five-under-par, but it's Brendan Steele who has been lights-out from tee to green," Gehman says. "He's gaining nearly six shots on the rest of the field."

Gehman closes things out with Harold Varner III (+150) over both Matt Kuchar and Bo Van Pelt. "Harold Varner III is fifth in strokes gained approach right now," Gehman says. "Kuchar and Bo Van Pelt are relying a bit on the putter too frequently for my taste."
