Allan Bell is joined by expert sports bettors Mike McClure, Justin Perri and Larry Hartstein on The Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for the NFL and the Major League Baseball playoffs for Sunday, Oct. 17.

Bell starts things off with the SportsLine Play of the Day: the Patriots (+3.5) to cover against the Cowboys (4:25 p.m. ET). "(Patriots coach Bill) Belichick showed up against the Buccaneers, so he could put together a game plan to hang with an elite offense," Bell says.

McClure follows with a prop bet in the NFL: Over 38.5 receiving yards (-110) for Arizona's Rondale Moore in the Cardinals-Browns game (4:05 p.m. ET). "We all know the upside he possesses. But this one is about the zone coverage he will be facing," Mike says. "That's going to limit the deep ball. That's going to limit Christian Kirk. Look for the Arizona Cardinals to look for some short passes. It's going to mean a lot of trying to get the football in Rondale Moore's hands."

Perri is next with a pick in the MLB playoffs. He likes Over 4 runs (-118) for Los Angeles in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series between the Dodgers and Braves (7:38 p.m. ET). "They've bounced back very well all season, especially in the postseason," Justin says. "(After) both losses against the Giants (in the NL Division Series), they came back and put up more than five runs."

Hartstein closes things out with a pair of prop bets in the NFL: Over 3.5 receptions (-130) and Over 38.5 receiving yards (-110) for Washington's Ricky Seals-Jones in the contest between the Chiefs and Washington Football Team (1 p.m. ET). "Look what he did last week against the Saints, who defend tight ends well - nine targets, five catches, 41 yards," Larry says. "The Chiefs are No. 1 in most yards allowed to tight ends, No. 7 in most catches. I think we all remember what (Buffalo's) Dawson Knox did and what a lot of tight ends have been doing against this Chiefs defense."
