Jonathan Coachman is joined by top sports betting experts Matt Severance, Justin Perri and Larry Hartstein on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. Get the best plays for Major League Baseball and NFL Futures for Monday, August 9.

Larry shares the highly impactful news of the Arizona Cardinals being the first team to open up a sportsbook. The Coach supplies the SportsLine Play of the Day, backing the daring pick of the Indians +1.5 over the Reds at 6:10 p.m. ET. Luis Castillo did not fare well in his last matchup with Cleveland.

Allan's highlighted selection is the Padres -1.5 over the Marlins at 10:10 p.m. ET. Miami has lost the majority of Zach Thompson's starts. Meanwhile, San Diego is surging on offense.

Zack reveals one of his favorite NFL futures, going with the Rams Over 9.5 wins. Matthew Stafford instantly provides a significant upgrade to the Los Angeles offense, and he has past examples of how other QBs have boosted win totals and outlooks when joining new teams. Pairing Stafford with a top head coach and a great defense is a recipe for much success. The Rams also have the depth to survive the loss of Cam Akers.

Larry is taking the White Sox -1.5 over the Twins at 8:10 p.m. ET, even though Minnesota has looked better recently. "The Twins were very surprising in how they handled the Astros. They finished the road trip at 5-4," he says. "Now they come to face the White Sox, who are one of, if not the best team in the American League. If you look at who the Twins are throwing out there, it's a couple of youngsters. The White Sox have outscored the Twins a lot this season, averaging seven runs a game."
