Coming off a 7-2 day, The Coach rounds up top betting experts Mike McClure, Zack Cimini and Larry Hartstein on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. Get your prime plays for MLB, NBA and NHL for Wednesday, May 5.

Mike opens with his all-important NBA injury report. He delivers the news on Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Damian Lillard, Norman Powell, Malcolm Brogdon and Nikolai Jokic, plus others. Larry then talks about why he will be monitoring the props closely in Kings-Pacers at 8 p.m. ET.

The Coach provides the SportsLine Plays of the Day. It is always recommended to focus on the Reds at home these days. He backs the pick of the Chicago White Sox and Cincinnati Over 8.5 runs at 12:35 p.m. ET. In the NHL, he highlights the choice of the Senators +125 over the Canadiens at 7 p.m. ET.

Mike shares his pair of featured MLB picks, beginning with the Diamondbacks +130 over the Marlins at 6:40 p.m. ET. He says Luke Weaver is coming off some tough starts but tells us why the matchup will lead to a better outing this time. He is also on the Red Sox -1.5 over the Tigers at 7:10 p.m. ET. He says Casey Mize is going to have a very hard time against Boston's bats, and the Coach adds his seal of approval.

In the NBA, Zack is taking the Timberwolves +4.5 over the Grizzlies at 8:00 p.m. ET. Minnesota is starting to mesh well, and Memphis is fading. His MLB selection is Cleveland -160 over Kansas City at 8:10 p.m. ET, The suddenly sliding Royals have a very daunting task against Shane Bieber.

Larry's spotlight selection is the A's -121 over the Blue Jays after 9:40 p.m. ET. "The Oakland A's are 11-2 in their last 13 home games. They lost their first six but they have been dominant at home since," he says. "The Blue Jays are tremendous offensively at home but are not so great on the road. Robbie Ray has pitched well, but the A's hit lefties really well." Larry then points to another reason why he is strongly recommending the A's. "They have won four straight starts with Chris Bassitt. He has been rock solid."
